We went early in the day so we could have lunch with some very very dear friends, Morten, Rooy, and Linda, whom we haven´t seen in a LONG time. We met on the show Slankekrigen (Biggest Loser) in 2005 and have held contact over the years but as things sometimes happen, we have gotten busy in our lives and not had as much contact we would like the last years. Never the less, when we get together it is as if we never have been apart. I love people like that. People you can pick right back up with where you left off and it´s all still comfortable!
I haven´t laughed so hard in a long time. Rooy (above) has the BEST humor in the entire world and I laugh so hard I get stomach aches…the training effect on my stomach after an afternoon with Rooy is incomparable! Below you can see him giving me a "makeover" he´s pulling my "wrinkles" back so I look younger- what do you think? Does it work??? hahahahahaha….
Rooy is the ultimate Diva when it comes to looking skinny if you have a few extra pounds and he recently shared this video on his facebook wall. It´s pure genius if you are a few extra pounds and want to shed them in a photo….
I of course had to try out some of her tricks later as we were waiting on the metro to take us into downtown Oslo and I am so happy to say IT WORKS! I think I shed at least 20kg in this photo!!! MAGIC!!!!
The kids had a great time and that was the most important things yesterday. We have had such a rough spring that we needed a day of fun, to relax, and not think about everything we have been through and yesterday was the perfect day for this!
The concert itself was really great! Pink is an incredible artist with a fabulous voice. Even though the sound was a little bad and you didn´t always hear JUST Pink´s incredible voice, when you heard her it was really amazing. The warm up band Churchill was great also!! The worst part of the concert was all the ignorant people who wanted to take the few centimeters of floor space you were standing on either by pushing you out of the way or dancing on top of you to the point where you got irritated. I am a peaceful girl…have never in my life been in a fight, but I was ready to bring it on last night. I had taken off my orange shirt and wrapped it around my waste and had my tank top on, so I looked the part of a bad ass…and I stood like a rock in my few centimeters and when I got pushed enough I had to take action. Thankfully just a few choice words were enough to get my centimeters to myself again…but next time I would definitely buy seats instead of standing on the floor….that was a joke. Think you could have enjoyed the concert just as well from up in the stands and you would have had your seat centimeters all to yourself!!!
My beautiful girls sitting on the floor of the Telenor Arena waiting for the concert to begin…
Markus and Thomas on the floor…
And the Lady herself…..PINK
I would definitely do a concert again even though I am really not a big fan of concerts. My thinking swirls around the enormous amount of money you pay for tickets and the travel to and from the concert, the drinks you HAVE to have in that heat inside the concert hall for an amazing 45 Kroner or 7 bucks a pop and the artists usually aren´t nearly as good as they are on their albums….However, when you get a great performer like Pink, then it´s all worth it.
What was the best concert you´ve ever been too? Did they sound like they do on the albums?
The sun is shining on Helgøya today, I do believe a little BBQ is in order….a walk in the woods….relaxing….hope you all have a wonderful day!!!
Until next time my friends….
