Under Construction

There are so many things going on in my world and I feel like I´ve got a lot bottling up inside me. I think it´s getting it out is what I miss most about blogging regularly. So time to do something about it, don´t ya think? I know you´re saying, "heard this before"  but seriously it´s true...I´m back. :-)

A little warning though, I won´t be posting any recipes for awhile. The 25th of September I´m starting a health program which will hopefully help me lose weight and get in shape. The program is only in Norway that I´m aware of. My American friends have never heard of it but I´m sure there is something similar in the states. The program has one factor that I´m not too crazy about but I see the necessity. You see the first six weeks of the program you only eat meal replacements in the form of shakes, soups, and nutrition bars. After six weeks you replace one meal replacement with a regular meal. The plate method is used, half the plate with veggies and fruit and a quarter with carbs and a quarter with protein. After a certain amount of weeks you replace two meals and so on and so on until by the end of one year you´re totally back on regular food and hopefully motivated enough to continue on your own. The first 12 weeks we are a group who will meet weekly to learn about nutrition and how to put meals together, and so on. Then we will have an exercise class. After 12 weeks you meet every other week for a certain amount of weeks and then after that once a month for the rest of the program. I was also told where I´ll be taking the course, they will offer us a gym membership after our year is up and included in our membership will be a once a month follow up by a nutritionist or physical therapist who can help us if we have any questions. So we will basically be followed up for two years! Which is amazing and something that a person like me needs!!!
So what am I going to be blogging about? Well, obviously how things are going. I´m really mentally trying to prepare myself for what I´m about to do. Trying to find things to keep me busy so I won´t be hanging out around here wondering, what could I bake? Or what could I make to eat??? hehehehe...it´s become such a habit that it feels weird to not think about things like that but it´s time for a change. Don´t get me wrong, I´m still a number one supporter for eating what you want BUT before I get to eat what I want, I have to get some kilos off and then I can eat what I want within reason. Until then though I have to make a hefty effort toward my health but in the end I know it will pay off. I think as I´m able to start incorporating meals back into my days I will be looking for healthy and GOOD food. When I look at blogs from people who are trying to eat healthy (I´m going to admit it´s been mostly Norwegian blogs) I want to fall asleep before I get the pictures of their healthy food up...raw veggies on top of crispy bread with some sort of meat or cheese.....zzzzzzzzzz soooo freaking boring! So I think the challenge I will put toward myself will be finding exciting food which is healthy and different and will keep me satisfied visually and taste wise :-) So stay tuned for that!

I also plan to walk a bunch, I love walking and my fur babies love it when I take them for walks...
I´ve walked on the streets of Rome and Paris and they are wonderful...absolutely stunning and I feel so excited to be experiencing everything these great cities offered BUT...nothing is more peaceful then walking the woods here around my house...
I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place and so close to nature...
I´ve also decided to begin selling Casa Interiør in the evenings at home parties. I was a little unsure if I was going to do something like that because to be very honest, I´m not a big home party type person BUT this business offers a lot of lovely products for the home interior at decent prices and I´ve decided focusing more time on fixing my home up could be a great way to get my focus away from food also. Several friends at work seemed excited that I was talking about beginning with Casa Interiør and said they´d love to have a party so I figured I´d give it a shot and see :-) I´ll share products and such here and if anyone reading this is in my area and wants a party let me know! I´ll also be making a facebook page for my Casa shop and people can reach  me there too- link will come soon! Casa has a lot of lovely frames and such which I think could be nice to frame some of my photos....

Photos I´ve been taking with my brand spanking new baby...a beautiful Canon 7D!!!! I´ve been eyeing new cameras for a long long long time! Julia just joined a photography class and bought herself a new canon camera (the 1100D) and Mamma got a little jealous...(yeah it happens) and while I was out and about with my honey we stopped by the photo shop and I couldn´t resist anymore....the 7D insisted on coming home with me. She also insisted on bringing her big brother the 150-500mm Sigma lens home with us also! How could I say no? Now when Mrs Moose comes visiting the field near my house I can get a close enough shot to tell you if she brushed her teeth or not! Hahahaha, you really wanted to know that didn´t you? I know you did....until Mrs Moose arrives though you´ll have to be satisfied with photos of the fur babies....you don´t mind that do you?

Occasionally you´ll get a photo or two of the neighbours also....they´re the best neighbours ever!
Sometimes I won´t have a lot of time to write so I´ll just post photo posts....sharing with you photos from my everyday. Hope you´ll enjoy them.....

Tonight Sarah is coming home from Oslo for the weekend. She will leave again on Monday along with the Captain who is heading back to Brazil for six weeks. Time flies and there is a lot happening in the weeks ahead. Can you believe it´s less then six months until Christmas? So hope you´ll check back in with me again even without the promise of recipes...at least for a few months...when I start being able to eat regular meals I´ll share with you the healthy recipes I´m trying out. Until then I´ll hope you will find something else interesting here. I do enjoy having you stop by and hang out with me for awhile!

Until next time my friends.....

The diet is totally a mind thing. I know you can do it!
Nice camera. I am shooting a Pentax k-7, but I can't afford my LBA (lens buying addiction) so I make due with what I currently own. A nice macro is on the list, however.
