Oh Autumn With Your Glorious Colors And Sweet Delights

Oh boy, Blogger has gone and upgraded their system, so my writing tool is completely different then normal. Bear with me as I figure this out will ya? 


Autumn has arrived with a vigor...the colors on the trees seem to burst out more and more for every day....

Mornings are dewy and magical....

Birds are busy flying South for the winter and The Captain is busy putting up our new fence...he got word he will be going out nine days earlier then he planned, so he is in high gear trying to get the fence done. 

These lumber logs will be the entry to our driveway and will hold the gate into our property...the Captain and Julia are removing the bark from them and we will stain them...going to look nice...


I have another apple recipe to share with you.... Caramel Apple Cheesecake Cookie Bars. To make my own caramel sauce I used this recipe at:  Blissful Domesticity. I wasn´t too crazy about the caramel sauce when I tried it on my finger- but drizzled over this cheesecake it´s sooooo yummy....

Last weekend the Captain and I went to a local auction and I found lots of wonderful items. I love to watch who buys what and try and guess if it´s for themselves or to sell in their store or online. I also love too bid myself...that is so much fun. Let´s put it this way, I am much more into the auction scene then the Captain, he got easily bored...and I was completely entertained...hahahaha...but I did my best to encourage him but showing him how to bid and such through proper examples...hahahahaha....here are a few of the things I got...the chairs I got three of for 50 Norwegian Kroner- about 10 US dollars...not bad, I was so happy about that! The bowl is just fun- old and fun...I love it...

Yáll remember my Potato lady painting I bought at an auction awhile back? Well, I found her sister in a box of old photos at this last auction...and I just HAD to have that box- to my great delight, no one seemed interested in the boxes of photos so I was able to get this photo as well as a bunch of old frames I will find good uses for...but don´t ya just love this face....check out how similar these two ladies are....and she is an animal lover.....I just love it!!!

Tomorrow we are going to visit our new puppy Cookie...can´t wait to meet her...well, I am not completely sure the girl we will visit tomorrow is going to be our puppy- we might get a puppy from the second litter but they are only 2 weeks old, so too young to visit just yet...have to visit them when we get back from Italy :-))) Still, I will be taking loads of puppy photos to share with you all tomorrow.
