Before It’s To Late

Before your ship sails, one last time, off into the sunset forever….

….remember to tell those who matter to you, how much they matter. Remember to say I love you and mean it. Remember to laugh and cry and feel…..remember to smell the flowers and new cut grass….to run barefoot on the beach. Remember to try something new, too dare to do something you wouldn’t ever normally do…Remember to say I’m sorry, to forgive and move on. Remember to live life and enjoy every positive thing that happens and to look for positives in the negative things that happen. Do not focus on what could have been, what should have been, what is and you wish wasn’t…..just be greatful for the experience, for the chance, for the moment.

Today I recieved news that a woman I knew casually on Averøy passed away in the night of a blood clot in her brain. She was only 41 and a mother to three children, one of which went in Sarah’s class. I’ve been asking the question, which has no answer, all day long, “WHY?” Some things aren’t meant to be understood and some things take time to understand but the most important thing to get out of this tragic happening is the message that none of us know when our time will come…so many times we live as if we will live forever and we forget how precious life is, how fleeting it is, and how none of us have any garauntees that we’ll make it to old age or die peacefully in our sleep….no one knows except the big guy upstairs. Don’t take life for granted…appreciate it, honor it, respect it, love it.

Until next time my friends…

I Think Someone Meant Crazy Days Of Summer…

You know the saying, “Lazy days of summer”, well I think someone actually meant, the crazy days of summer! That’s what it has been lately- crazy….

The healthy lifestyle plan is still going strong- I’m down about 3kg (that is around 6lbs for those in the USA) and I’m still feeling very motivated and good. I’m eating normal food just watching my quantities and moving. I got a half year card at the local swim hall and will try and make swimming an activity 2-3 times a week- even though it means getting buck naked in front of a bunch of strangers…I WILL DO IT…hey, anything for health right? Yeah, the Americans reading this might be saying, buck naked??? Yeah, when you go to the swim hall here you have to strip down to your birthday suit, shower with soap and THEN you can go swimming…I understand the concept- just don’t like that we all shower in one big room together…so I cheated and had my suit on and just took down my top…thought I was getting away easy…but when I got done swimming and came back in to change, I was in a dressing room with no place to dress privately- so off came everything and Amy was standing there with a bunch of strangers in her birthday suit…ugh…I think I used 0.2 seconds to get dressed and that was NOT easy considering my body was still semi wet from the pool and clothes stick to wet bodies…I figure by the end of the 6 months of swimming I’ll probably be walking around there all naked- heck I might even feel so comfortable I’ll walk out to the pool area naked- just forget myself completely!!! OH LORD…that was a horrid image that just flashed in my mind- I can only imagine what image jumped in your heads…poor people!!!

While in town today the kids and I did a little furniture shopping and ordered the following:

It will be two chairs and foot rests and the couch. Sorry for the bad quality photos but this was taken with my cell phone. Nice though eh? I wish I was better about knowing how to decorate my house but I think this will be nice…I’ll of course take photos when it gets to me, it won’t be here until the second week in September- ahhhh the waiting is gonna kill me!!!

On the way home we passed the place where people get on and off the Skibladner in this area and they have the most gorgeous baskets of flowers on this place and I always think I should bring my camera and I never do…typical me…so I took this with my cell phone and again- sorry for the bad quality photo but you can get an IDEA how gorgeous it is- I’ll take my real camera soon I promise!

This past weekend we entertained guests from around Norway and Germany- all of whom were here to get their puppies!!! Yes, the puppies are leaving us and it’s both sad and good…all the people were wonderful and I’ve heard such positive comments back about their puppies so I’m very pleased. Everyone seems happy so far!!! There are five puppies left and next week two of them will leave- little Luna will move to Moelv which is only 30 minutes from here and Bamse baby will have the longest flight- from Oslo via Frankfurt, overnighting at the pet station in Frankfurt then an almost 10 hour flight to Seattle Washington!!!! Oh that poor baby….and the poor people on the plane because I think he will cry. My pup who went to Dusseldorf Germany cried so much they could hear her up in the cabin- I can only imagine how Bamse will handle the trip…and then did you read recently about 7 puppies dying in cargo, I think it was in Chicago?? Oh my gosh, my heart stopped- needing to do a double check but I think Bamse’s flight is nonstop from Frankfurt to Seattle- so I’m hoping that is the case and then it won’t be so bad…otherwise I’m going to freak out.

Bamse might be a big boy, but we all know the bigger they are the harder they fall when something doesn’t go like they want…and this guy is a big ol’ baby….don’t let the macho walk fool ya….

Ahh, crazy days ahead also folks- girls are heading to Oslo to spend their hard earned puppy money on a shopping trip with the world’s best homo friend…as I’ve said before, every girl should have a homo friend…it’s the best of both worlds and this one even works with fashion- so when the girls were going to go shopping they wanted “Auntie” Rooy and not me- can you imagine? I mean if anyone can put together t-shirts and sweats it’s me….but never the less they are looking for a little different style and he’s their man…or….yeah…he’s the one to help them…THEN…he and his husband are going to some friends and overnighting for a party and letting the girls stay in their apartment by themselves!!! The girls are SOOOO excited!! Thomas totally wanted to go but they want just a girl’s weekend so he will stay with me, which he is none too pleased about. Hmmmm….nice eh? Then on Monday the beautiful Julia will be 15….where does time go?? I’ll be back with reports of the weekend and some birthday wishes on Monday folks…have a super weekend…

Until next time…
