Her First “Big” Purchase

Today Julia made her first “big” purchase…..

Birdys babies 2010 006-2

When all of her guy friends were getting mopeds Julia couldn’t be left in the dust…so together with her confirmation money she got, she bought this little baby…and of course had to take it to show her buddies right away. Her one friend had also gotten one for his confirmation money but it was already in the shop needing repairs and wouldn’t be ready for a couple more weeks. Another boy bought one exactly like Julia’s only a little newer and Julia said she raced him and her bike was faster then his! Hahaha…You know, I’ve never thought about motorcycles as anything I could think to sit on the back of, let alone drive….but I am kinda in awe of Julia’s coolness with her bike and this shared bond she has with her dad over bikes. I love that she is more adventuresome then me. I love adventure but only as long as I know it’s completely safe…I don’t like to take chances.

I like to smell the roses in life…..or poppys…..

Our passat has lost it’s place in the garage to our ever growing collection of motorcycles and ATVs….we will definitely have to figure out a new parking strategy for these two (and four) wheel wonders so the passat can get back in the garage.

Look who is opening their eyes…

There is a very small part of me that worries about the sound level of these 12 once they can see us properly and hear us and they can know when they are left alone and when we are there. I am trying to think where we will put them and I’m thinking more and more we will have to move them up to our bathroom- the tile floors and spacious bathroom will give them a safe place to play and sleep and if they wee or poo it will be easy cleaning. Oh the fun that lies ahead…

Tomorrow Stig and I are going to take a hike in the mountains near Lillehammer while Sarah attends an agility class. I’m really looking forward to going up in the mountains, my only concern is the lack of sleep one or both of us will get tonight as we have to split the night shift so that Julia will be awake to watch the pups while we three head up toward Lillehammer…oh well, if you don’t hear from me in a couple days I’ve probably fell asleep up in the mountains- but don’t worry……I’ll be back!

Until next time my friends….

I think it is awesome that Julia got a bike! I also believe she will be careful than the boys her age. Girls always mature faster than guys do!

Oh, the pups make me swoon!Yes, you are going to have a noisy home soon. Ha! But, all worth it :) I am looking forward to watching them grow!

Have a beautiful day with Stig! You need a day "off" alone with him! It will do you good, Amy!

Yeah for Julia! Now she can "tear up" some serious roads! :-)
And if you fall asleep on the hike, you will have the Capt there to nap with you!

Haha, I guess you fell asleep on the mountain:) Alot of my nieces have motorcycles too, I never dreamed of having one...but I adored having boyfriends with motorcycles.
Have a great week.
