My homemade puppy is soon 7 months old…he’s just a “wittle” guy in his head…but his body screams a whole other thing..he’s over 70cm tall and weighs over 50kg at only 7 months..and they say a Leonberger male isn’t finished growing until around 2-3 years of age and bigger males take longer and this is definitely a bigger male…
Seriously feels like just yesterday we were sitting in a puppy box with six of these little guys (later only four pups that ultimately survived)..Blows my mind that this is my little fluff ball…
I still think of him at around this size…even though I know better…
He still likes to lay like this on the sofa, only now there is less room for us to sit on the sofa and his head doesn’t fit so sweetly on the blanket like that anymore, it kinda hangs over the side of the sofa…but he doesn’t care- he’s still zonked out like this when he’s laying on the sofa..
A month after the photo on the sofa was taken, Bently’s brother, Sou was ready to leave for Japan…this is one of the last photos of the brothers taken together. They are so alike and yet, I can see my Bently Bear easily in this photo (he’s on the right)..
When Sou left, all of Bently’s siblings were gone…so Uncle Stuart became the next best thing to hang out with…he just wasn’t as fun to play with because he just sat there…
Another month passed from the last photo until this one and I still don’t see a lot of change- he looks “wittle” doesn’t he?? Sweet and fluffy…and so ready for someone to come play in the snow with him!!
A month later he got his wish…his brother Redman (middle pup) and sister, Shakira (on the right) came to spend a few days with us and they were the ultimate brat pack whose time in the snow could never be enough…
As fun as Redman and Shakira are…no one beats Dad when it comes to having fun…
Definitely a daddy’s boy in the make here…
Yep…he is still a “wittle” puppy in my eyes….no doubt…
