I’m sitting here racking my brain trying to think of something witty and hillarious to share with you….or something inspiring or special to share with you….and I got nuttin…I’ve got bits and pieces…so I guess I can share that…
My baby girl went to her New Year’s Eve ball last night…she is growing up faster then I’d like…but it’s happening and I can’t stop it…so I’m trying to deal with it…feels like it was just yesterday she was looking all sweet and innocent like this…
That’s her on the right..the tall blonde…her best buddy is the little guy to her right, Tor Olav…(such a good kid!) Last night as she was all dollied up and looking gorgeous she complained about having to stand up straight in her dress..”I’m a tomboy! I can’t do this!” She complained…but she did it…and she pulled it off very nice…
I’m so proud….and so confused….where did time go??? She was crowned princess (in her grade level) at the ball last night…and I know I’m her mamma..but I think it’s well deserved!
I’ve been thinking lately of my dear dear friends here on the island…two women who have taken me under their wing and made me feel like I’ve been here forever. Women who I can exercise with and look like crap and they don’t judge me….women who I can pretend to sing with and they are so busy singing themselves they don’t care how bad I sound…
I love people like this…people who you can be yourself with, there is nothing fake in relationships like this…you are what you are and you’re loved anyways…hahahaha….it’s good….very good…
The weather is on my mind….it’s still cold…
Yeah, this is the inside of the front door…and I can promise you with all the burning in the fireplace Stig has done lately it’s NOT that cold inside the house…but this gives you a hint how cold it is outside….
I feel like baking…I want to bake cinnamon rolls..
No….it’s not healthy…..but it’s good….and it’s Friday….and I just need one….the kids and Stig will take care of the rest….
But first I’m going to go work out at the gym…weights…then I’ll take the dogs for a walk in the snow…they love that…
I don’t think they will be half as happy when it’s summer as they are now….but maybe…if we take them down to the lake and let them swim a lot….they love the wet elements in life…frozen or not…
I’ve stumbled across a couple new blogs lately which I just love…I think what makes a great blog is people who can write about what we all do and all experience but do it in such a way that it seems like they are doing something we could never do! We’re almost like peeping Toms looking into people’s lives without actually knowing them…but it’s fascinating and I am continuously awed by the amazing people out there who lead such interesting lives and have such talent for baking, cooking, interior, photography, animals, fashion, culture, you name it…I think to myself if I’ve seen one interior blog I’ve seen them all….then you stumble across someone’s blog where you think- HOLY CRAP that is amazing! Or you see so many fantastic photography sites that when you’re dad tells you that you take amazing pictures you think, “I could show him twenty other sites with amazing photographers who are a million times better!” I love the blog world and feel like I’ve only touched on the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the exciting blogs out there and thank you everyone who leave comments so that I can go and look at your blogs…it’s the easiest way to find you!!
Ok, I’m sitting here rambling about nothing really and I need to get ready to go to the gym…
Have a super day everyone..I’m going to attempt to make a pizza in my wood stove today…if it works out I’ll take photos and share it with you later…
Until next time my friends…

I think that picture of the door knob is great! I don't mean great that it's so cold, but a great picture--well composed and attractive!
Just like your daughter, haha!! Tell her (coming from a tomboy herself) that tomboys are allowed to be girly and get dressed up sometimes too! ;) She is beautiful.
She does look beautiful!
I love the door knob photo! That is how we are here...frozen inside!

Your girl is beautiful and princess is exactly the right word for how beautiful she looks. congratulations.
Great pic of your daughter and of course, as always, I love the dogs!
You can keep the frozen door knobs though!
Hard to believe that the same girl who rides like a motorcross racer through the forest can also be such a princess! She is beautiful!!!! The Capt has his work as a dad really cut out for him!
