Someone Is Missing At Christmas….

December2009 008-2

The lights have come outside and I’m happy with the results, but feel we need more over the apartment and garage, we only have these hanging lights over the entry to the apartment and so I’ve told Stig we need to get hold of more to go along the edge of the entire apartment house and garage and then I’ll be happy this year…hehehe…rather spoiled I know, but it’s so magical and I love standing outside on a fully moonlit night with snow glisning and see the Christmas lights on my log cabin home…

December2009 003-2

This holiday season I feel I’m going through the motions of the holiday, buying presents, decorating, baking….the usual, but the moment I stop up my thoughts immediately turn to my mom and how much I miss her. They turn to my dad who is alone for the first Christmas ever…he has my sister but it’s his first Christmas without mom..I wish more then anything I could be with him…but my sister will be there this year with him and hopefully the kids and I can be there next year…

I found this song on My Space and if you are missing someone this year it’s a lovely song to listen too. Click on the words below:

Someone's Missing At Christmas

Today we will be decorating inside and possibly baking some ginger bread cookies..whether they become gingerbread men and women or just small round balls is yet to be decided, but I’m sure they will be good. A round in the snow covered fields with the dogs and then in for hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies…after decorating for the holidays- can it get any better? Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Until next time my friends…

I hope your dad will be alright... it's hard to lose a loved one and it's harder to spend the first Christmas without her/him. But just keep in mind that you're mom is watching over all of you. I always think of that whenever I miss my mom.

I hope your dad will be allright. A good thing he's with your sister this year. Hope you get there next year.
I don't think there are any rules abt how many stickings you can have. We're just 2 people here now and have 6:))
I bought the kransekake from one of my friends on facebook:)) She makes the best homemade ones, but I doubt it would survive the mail.
Have a great weekend decorating.
Hugs from marilyn

Hi Amy! Just dropping by to say thank you. I appreciate that you like my fashion sense. And the "building" behind me is my house. My house is really colorful as opposed to my outfit preference which is mostly black, gray and white.
