Blue Monday

Technically set, I don’t have anything blue to blog about…everything is GREY. However, if you could see my feelings you would see blue…ugh…my mood is so blue these days. I think if I don’t see sunshine soon or blue skies I’m going to crack. It’s been like this for what feels like weeks-

Top this with seven dogs and mud everywhere and you have a recipe for a BLUE MOOD. I like to say that I’m a pretty positive person and I do my best to stay positive. I actually was talking with my oldest, Sarah, on a recent walk about staying positive and while it was easy to find negatives if you could find something positive about a situation or a moment or what have you then you were much better off. I told her staying positive will serve her well when she is in the states for a year going to school. If she doesn’t make a bunch of friends she could look at the positive in that she appreciates the ones she has here in Norway more..she agreed…of course she did…I’m right about this…

Still…..it’s so grey…and so sad outside…and wet and muddy, and grey….did I mention grey? How come no one has a Grey Monday scheme going?

Nov09 006-3

I’ve been very negative lately about having seven dogs here, they’ve been on my mind a lot. I live and breathe dogs right now and God Bless them all I love them to pieces with all my heart but no one in their right mind should have seven dogs…not this size at least! And technically I don’t…I technically only have six…five if you don’t count old mamma Heidi who spends most of her time sleeping…and I’m sure if I really only had five in the house I’d NOTICE the difference from seven..but I’m trying to help my puppy owners out when they need help watching their babies and right now there are several things happening which keeps an extra pup here. Redman is leaving probably Tuesday or Wednesday and then we will get Shakira on Thursday evening until Monday afternoon. THEN..I should only have five/six here in the house. Monday is only a week away…I can make it…

The positives with having dogs are they MAKE me go for a walk…no matter what the weather. If I didn’t have dogs I am SURE I’d be inside all winter long, at least on crappy, rainy, grey days like we’ve been having and then I’d weigh 300kilos or something with all my baking and no walking…dear lord can you imagine, ugh GROSS!…In the spirit of positive thinking, there are many out there who have a lot more to deal with everyday then me…farmers for example manage to take care of farm animals and have a life…so I should manage seven dogs…right?

Nov09 010-2

Do you see the sun??? No….hmm….thought I saw a glimt of sunshine poking through that fog…yes well….it was a nice positive thought wasn’t it? Sunshine…..hmmmm…I’m sure we’ll see it again someday…and then I’ll probably complain that I need sunglasses or something…wait a minute- NO I WON’T!! Positive positive positive folks!!!

Wishing you a very NON-Blue Monday my friends..To see some actual blue objects check out Blue Monday over at Smiling Sally’s blog..I’ll bet Smiling Sally never has a blue mood, how could she when she is smiling all the time??

Until next time…

I have to admit that i'm worried about the constant greyness of norwegian winters. Odd as it may be i actually like the sun. I've heard sunlamps and fish oil help. *shrug*

I hope your blahs end soon. **hugs** Don't be blue. :)

well, for a grey and drab day, you still have a lot to smile about! you have dogs, and my landlady won't let me keep one... :(

The first pic looks romantic to me, though.

glad to be back for so long! Here's today's share of blue!

have a great week!

I feel the same way somedays. We live in New England on cape cod ma. Whenever they give rain or clouds in Boston, you can bet we'll get it for days.
Hope you find the sun soon.

So if it were my husband looking at your pictures he would say that looks perfect. He is from New England and is drawn to grey weather. He seems to miss it and would trade you.

I remember spending a lovely sun filled June in Olso and then realizing that there must be a flip-side to this - winter. Ugh!

All I can say is Vitamin D, B50, and fish oil. What about a SAD lamp? I've considered buying one of those too.

Sending happy sunshine filled thoughts your way!

Sorry the weather is so bad there. When it is like that, it is hard to not feel blue. It will get better so hang in there.

No wonder you're blue; I'd be blue too. Perhaps by playing Blue Monday today, it'll cheer you up when you visit the other blogs.

Yep - it's grey here too! But soon it will snow and we'll have lovely weather!

You must be exhausted with all the dogs... but you're doing a good thing when the pups need help.

You'll feel better when the weather breaks. If it helps any, those are the best pictures of foggy, damp weather I've seen today :-). The photos are super. Have a great Blue Monday.

You are always so positive Amy and so helpfull to all your friends and others:)) You must have long arms after walking all those dogs... The weather is not any better down here in Oslo. Snow would be much nicer, cold but at least it looks pretty. Another thing which is depressing right now is that by four o`clock in the afternoon it is getting dark outside.

Well, have a fantastic day my friend :) Hugs from your friend Mona

I would not be able to handle the gray and the darkness over there. Seriously.

Nor would I be able to handle all the dogs underfoot. I just don't know how you do it.

Love that lantern photo. That's a bright spot in this gray day!
