I’ve Been Afraid…

I love the woods. I wish I was creative enough to use eloquent words to describe what I feel in the woods but I’m not…to say I feel peace is an understatement. I feel so much more then peace…even when I am walking 8 dogs in the woods, it’s peaceful. But I’ve been afraid..afraid to walk in my beloved woods because I know Ms. Moose and her kids have been hanging out there also and I DO NOT want to run into her in the woods with eight dogs and my pudgy little legs which don’t run very fast…thank you very much…however, last night I couldn’t resist anymore…

I had every intention to take the pups on a “long” walk in the woods last night, a round which usually doesn’t take very long when it’s just us and the big dogs but with the pups we used about an hour, and I was hoping we’d exhaust them and have a relaxing evening. However, I think the opposite happened…Oh Bently was tired…my big fat teddy bear laid down every time we stopped (which was often) and I finally felt so bad that I felt I needed to carry him some of the way….well, that wasn’t very long as he was SO HEAVY!!! I’m no small princess but that little “bear cub” was more then a handful for sure…my arms felt weaker and weaker as we walked and finally I had to let the “little” guy down…I did my best though…it’s the thought that counts right??

Don’t laugh at the lobster face there…your face would be red too if you were carrying this little clump through the forrest…hahahaha..

I used the excuse that we had to go slowly through the woods to look around. There is always so many things in the woods that are easy to overlook if you rush through…like this..

I thought this broken mushroom looked like a pearl inside a fan…with a little help from Picassa I thought it made a pretty photo..perhaps it’s just me that finds the beauty in this little broken mushroom?

Slowly the leaves in the woods are dawning their festive fall colours and soon the whole forrest will be alive in bright orange and yellow and red colours- truly one of my favourite times of the year!!!

Even the farmer’s field of gold is beautiful to look at this time of year…as it dances back and forth in the cool autumn winds..

Unfortunately the pups weren’t as exhausted as I hoped by our walk in the woods but the trip was well worth it anyways!!

Thanks for all the well wishes on my award yesterday, that was fun!! Anyone else who feels inspired to pass out an award, keep me in mind…hahaha!!!

Until next time my friends..

That mushroom looks like a pearly fan. Gorgeous! (I find slugs beautiful too...)

I think Bentley Bear is just too darn big to carry!

I love all of your pictures. The puppies are too cute - what kind are they?

Betsy, the pups are Leonbergers. :-)) They are giant breed that have newfounland, landseer, great pyrenee, and St Bernard in them. They are suppose to look like lions as adults. :-)
