Neccessity In Life..

Some things are neccessary in life…food, water, shelter, and for we with kids and dogs…a good washing machine. Well, mine which I bought in 2007 died last night. Or rather he’s really really sick…he makes a horrible grrrrrrrrrrr sound when I turn him on…the water doesn’t filter out and it smells somewhat burnt. So I contacted the repair shop, sure they could come take a look and if it’s a product fault they’ll fix it free, if it’s usage fault then we have to pay. Ok, fair enough- I asked how long it would take to come out and take a look? Oh no, he couldn’t say, it would be awhile, there was a long line ahead of me, the repair guy would call when he has the opportunity to come out- that could be whenever…

I can’t go without a washing machine for an undisclosed amount of time…I have three teens and for the moment 9 dogs in my home..and I live in the woods so anytime you take a walk you get covered in mud- especially now when it’s raining all the time…so I need a washing machine. Stig told me to go get one and when and if we get the other one fixed we’ll put it in the apartment. We were talking about getting a washer for the apartment just didn’t figure it would be this quickly.

Off I went to look at washers..I wish we had washers like they have in the states..

Big washers like this that can hold TONS of clothing and washes everything super fast…

But we don’t have things like this in Norway…we have front loaders, but you are getting a big machine if it holds 9kg. My old washer held 6kg..but today I got one that holds 9kg!!! A washer by LG, which has a new type of motor, without the usual rubber band connected to it, this motor is connected directly to the drum inside. Supposedly MUCH better, quieter, and longer lasting! Several thousand crowns poorer we left the store the proud owners of this:

I am really excited to get it home and try it out. They will deliver it after 4PM on Thursday!! I’ll let ya know how it goes!

The puppies got their first taste of raw chicken today….they LOVED it…Yes, this puppy is wet…it’s rainy…AGAIN…and the puppies have played outside
