Living in Europe certainly can be interesting at times. Take TV for example, some of the programs shown here are never shown in the USA and if you check out this video below you’ll understand why. Funny as heck but way too out there for the wholesome American audience.
I should probably mention not watching that last one until after you’ve eaten or you’ll lose your appetite!!! hahahaha!!! The English have a weird humour but it’s a humour the Norwegians understand and appreciate so we see a lot of these kinds of shows here.
Otherwise life is moving along, the Captain is still stuck in Rio. The guy who was suppose to replace him didn’t have his visa in order so couldn’t come down. This should be fixed by Monday so he should be in Rio around Tuesday, allowing my darling to come home Wednesday or Thursday. Now don’t ask why they didn’t have the visa arranged in the 10 weeks that guy was home (Stig had to go on early for him because he was sick) Stig and I have been asking ourselves that question and can’t come up with any sensible answer.
I’ve been busying myself with gardening, it’s amazing how much money goes into making the place look nice the three months we have of summer!! But I’ve bought a lot of plants which should return year after year and so it’s worth it but I’ve still spent over 100 bucks on summer flowers which are just good for the summer…it’s crazy…but the results are worth it…
My pregnant Italian princess is enjoying her pregnancy to the fullest…she seems so regal and content. She sleeps a lot and when she’s awake she walks around here with a calmness, doing the neccessaries and then lying down to rest again.
Then you have Heidi….she’s not pregnant (though it might look it) and she sleeps a lot too….but hey, if you were 90 something you’d probably sleep a lot also!!
Found a recipie for “chewy granola bars” which I thought I’d try out today…haven’t had a good granola bar since living in the states…and while these were good, they were a bit dry…chewy when you got a spot that had honey and such in it, but it was as if there wasn’t enough honey to coat all the oats…so I would probably increase the honey next time in order to coat everything. I added chocolate chunks and raisins…good stuff…tonight it’s Mac N’ Cheese…we found a store that had some American stuff in it…so we bought two boxes of what looks like Kraft Mac N’ Cheese for about 8 bucks!!!! Yeah…amazing huh? We also got two bags of mini marshmellows for….hold onto your seats….8 bucks also!!! The kids were in heaven….what’s a mom suppose to do under pressure like that….Oh did I mention we found Rice Krispies and have made Rice Krispie treats also???? hahahaha…We can’t afford it every day but it’s fun to have some American treats once in awhile!!! :-))
Have a great day folks!!
