I’d really love to take credit for the photo above but all I can take credit for is the bit of hocus pocus on the picture itself…I removed some of the colour and sharpened it otherwise all credit goes to Sarah. An avid hobby photographer at only 16, she has a bright future ahead of her. I think she really has an eye for things and can even make tulips (at the end of their bloom) look great.
The Captain left for Brazil today twenty days before he was suppose too. The guy who has his shift on the opposite crew got sick and they needed someone down there immediately, only problem is there are very few with all their paperwork ready to go. Thanks to Stig’s extended stay home last time because he was waiting for paperwork, he now has everything he needs and agreed to go down. So now he won’t be back until the middle of May. I asked him why he didn’t tell them he’d go but he needed the weekend to get his affairs in order since he wasn’t planning to leave for 20 more days. He said he didn’t think about that, everything happened so fast- MEN!!! I’m ok that he’s left but I hate the short to no warning that he was going..talk about not being able to mentally prepare for his departure! To be honest though, this is something any good sailor’s wife should be able to deal with and keep on going through…and I am dealing with it just fine..I have my fur babies to share my bed with and I might even let this baby try sleeping with me one night…we’ve tried a couple times letting her snuggle with us before we go to bed and she LOVES being up in our bed all curled up in the covers..so MAYBE I should give her a chance. I knew that crate idea wouldn’t last very long- but it’s nice to know we can place her in there when we have to be gone for a short while so she won’t get hurt. What do you think? Would you let this little baby sleep with you???

yes....I would.
Well, er, um, yeah.
When we got Lexi, she whined the entire first night in her crate - she just wanted to be with her big sister Zoe. The next night, she slept with Zoe and we didn't hear a peep all night. Zoe was on the bedroom floor, but only because it was summer - as soon as the weather got cold, both dogs were in the bed!
So.. yep! lol
I don't let Oscar sleep with us because there are so many ticks in the summer and if you don't get them all, ... well, I don't want them on me! Also, Oscar gets too hot and wants to sleep on the floor or by the front door...
Love your daugther's artwork.
In a heartbeat!
I'm just back from Little Rock and catching up; I'll be reading forward and seeing how little Jenny is doing. She is so adorable!
