I haven't meant to disappear- but the Captain came home Friday and we had a wonderful day together Saturday and he left me again on Sunday. (He'll be back on Wednesday) I baked several breads this past weekend and froze a lot of them in order to have fresh bread the rest of the week. I also made homemade cauliflower soup which I even took photos of in order to share with my dear followers- but just haven't gotten around too it yet. I will say though that eating cauliflower soup does something to your stomach and yesterday when the ladies I worked with would say, "Hmmm...does someone need a changing??" and they'd check everyone and everyone was without poo.....well.....I used my best acting abilities and acted as confused as the other ladies as to where that smell could be coming from- hmmm...smells like someone has eaten a bit of cauliflower doesn't it????? hahahahaha....ok, I'm totally joking about this...I'd be mortified if I couldn't control my gas in public...I mean- everyone has gas, but you usually save it for your loved ones and those you feel most comfortable with...so I struggled through my work day controlling my gas and needless to say my stomach wasn't happy with me by the end of the day!!!
Tonight we have a meeting at work and I'm making the food for our meeting- guess what I'm making- homemade cauliflower soup....need to see how good my co-workers are at controlling their gas.....hahahahahaha....
No special photo today, only Maxine- love this lady...and I like this photo- I can see myself in Maxine's position and one of the lionesses serving me like Maxine's dog..
Until next time folks-

Your 'Captain' stories remind me of my mother and father when I was a child. My father (Master Mariner) used to be at sea for 3 months and home for a month or two.
Everybody in the village used to ask me 'when the Captain is coming home'.
I'll never forget the excitement surrounding his returns - we used to start 'count down' and preparation weeks in advance.
Enjoy having your Captain home.
Welcome home capt'n!
And a post about gas - saving it for your loved ones.. I love it! Laughed out loud too.
I knew there was a reason I did not like cauliflower...... now we know it is the "Tooting Flower"
How often do you make that soup?? Not too often, I hope. Do your kids eat it? Does the Captain? What a funny post!
