Another Furry Post

This blog is not suppose to just be about my dogs, it's suppose to be about a lot of different things I like and love but it seems for the moment my life is very much about the dogs...Saturday this little beauty will come to join our family and we are all so excited. I feel like a nervous new mom, expecting a baby, how will it all go when she is here? Will everyone get along? Will we be able to provide her with good enough life? Of course we are expecting the best in all these situations but the unknown is still scary- one is dealing with a living creature and that means anything is game. But we are sure ready to do our best and looking forward to getting to know her better.

We are also awaiting Isabella's heat- I think it will come the end of the month and she is marking territory a lot these last days, so I'm hopeful we are on schedule. On the financial side of things I hope she will wait until the next payday;-)) But again- living creatures are on their own schedules not the payday's!!! But it will all work out!! We will be bringing the male and his owner up from Holland for the mating and I'm looking forward to meeting them both.

This weekend Jenny's breeder and her husband will be coming down with all the puppies to have their eyes checked at a vet clinic on the other side of the Mjøsa (the lake we live on) and Jenny will of course be staying here with us. I'm planning on a good dinner Saturday night and coca cola cake for desert. I'll give you the recipie for that soon. Sunday we are taking the pups to the vet to check their eyes and then later on in the afternoon we are meeting potential puppy buyers for Isabella's puppies. So this weekend is all about dogs!!!

I love this time of year- we are going toward lighter days and I feel like I have so much more energy when I get home from work which is all positive. The temps are warming up too- we've been at 0C for a few days now and things are melting...which isn't so great- the beautiful crisp white snow becomes dirty and ugly looking but under the snow spring is waiting to burst out...can't wait!!!

I'll post more as soon as I can...have a great weekend folks!!!

My husband and I are very excited for you and your new bundle of joy. I remember when George was coming, my husband put new fence up in the backyard, we bought things for the puppy, a bed (that he never slept in) a crate to bring him home in (never used again!) and so many things to prepare for!
But he slept a lot. And when he ran, he rolled right over himself.
One thing I highly recommend is to take video pics of her and LOTS of pictures. It's unbelievable how fast they grow. In two months, he was huge!

OK - the way to anyone's heart is through a puppy - and this one is too cute for words. Adorable! Made me smile, and I share your yearning for spring and all the signs pointing to it!

I am a friend of Kelli in Denmark. I read her blog regularly and I saw this adorable picture of your puppy on her page as a link and I had to look! I just adopted a border collie puppy this past weekend from the local SPCA animal shelter here in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, mine was not so well taken care of and had lots of illness, but after a week of antibiotics, I think he will make it. His name is Paddington and if you'd like to have a look at him, check out my blog at www.80dayblog.blogspot.com.

Hope you have a wonderful time with your new puppy!

She is an adorable fluff ball!

Hope all goes well with Isabella and that she comes on heat when expected. How exciting - little Leo pups... Sigh.

Have a great weekend, Amy!
