She's Four Weeks Old Today

Today J..E..N..N..Y and her siblings are four weeks old! My how times flies- only four more weeks until she is coming to join our circus- I mean family!!!!

Just want to take a moment to say thanks for all the really swell comments I've been getting on my blog! Means a lot for a girl who isn't really computer smart, doesn't feel much like a creative writer, and is only in the beginning phase of her hobby photography. Y'all keep up this sweet talk and I might just have to keep writing and posting photos...hehehehe....

Wish I had something exciting to write about- but life right now revolves around the cold temperatures. It's so cold I can't lock my front door anymore...the lock (as you've seen in the previous post) is frozen...and we have used the hair dryer to defrost it, but it freezes again. My poor old Nissan shows her age when she starts in the morning....but hey...she starts, I can't ask much more from her. She's a bit tough to shift gears on...but she keeps on ticking...again- I can't ask much more. I respect her for getting me from A to B no matter the temperatures. I actually talk to my car....don't laugh, but today when I got home from work, I pulled her into the garage and thanked her for bringing me home safely and told her I'd let her rest quietly in the garage, out of the cold snow. Are you laughing at me??? Don't do that...it's not nice...you never know...it MIGHT help her keep going...who knows??

They are cutting timber out of the woods by the field in front of our house...we see lights and trucks around there from 6 in the morning until 10 at night...unusual to have activity in the woods here and kinda sad to see them cutting down the beautiful woods...I'm anxious for them to finish so I can go take a walk up there and estimate the damage better...it's up where we had found a gorgeous path, not sure if it was man made or animal made...but it wandered into a gorgeous woods with big wide open spaces under a canopy of tree tops...very magical. Now I see at least a quarter of it on the field in nice big log piles...poor trees...

I picked up dog food yesterday. I order from a firm south of Oslo and they deliver up here weekly. Talk about testing the good ol' Nissan...she was filled to the brim with dog food...all you saw was Amy and white bags....and I'm sure if I saw us from the outside we were probably low riding it....everytime we hit a pot hole or something she'd make squeeky noises...poor old Nissan....

Have a great night folks-

I used to talk to my car too!

Shame about cutting down the woods. Always sad to see.

As for that lock - you can buy a special oil that you put in the lock that oils it as well as stops it from freezing. We use it on our letter box.

I'm so excited about your new puppy!

Beautiful little puppy; and, what a wonderful home she is getting!

Hey, cars use energy, the world is made up of energy...talking to your car can't hurt...so why not?

That puppy of yours is adorable! A nice spot of warmth and sunshine in your home on a cold winter's day. Stay cosy.

I always talk to my car once the gas light pops on. Usually along the lines of "You can make it- please don't stop here where there is no gas station in sight and I have two arguing kids in the back seat. Please don't do it." :)

Thanks for the Norway suggestion. We were there visiting my husband's friends in Haugesund two summers ago. We visited Stavanger and Bergen also. Norway was stunning and reminded me a lot of Maine. If Hubby could find a job there, I think we'd go. He is still fluent in the language. So if you hear of any jobs for a U.S. attorney who is fluent in Norweigan send me a note - heehee!
