How cold is it you ask? It's so cold the lock on the INSIDE of my front door is frozen!!! We were in the minus 15C- minus 20C degrees today- nice huh? Just got back from a walk with the kids and like the intelligent blonde I am I "forgot" to put on my snow pants. Actually I didn't forget, but I figured that beautiful big ol' sunshine and blue skies also meant not-so-cold outside.....hahahaha....silly me!!! By the end of the walk I swear I didn't feel my legs, as I write you now I'm starting to feel them again- slowly. I don't dare to take off my pants yet to see if I have frost bite...but if I do, you can bet I'll show you pictures- I want to see your faces get all squishy with disgust....HAHAHAHA...ok, I'm just goofing around- I'm so bad about trying to be funny so PLEASE forgive me!!! The only good thing if I was ever to try my hand at being a comedian is that the audience would throw food at me.......oh wait a second- I just remembered I'm suppose to be on my best behaviour when it comes to food....silly me!!!!!
Attached is a photo of the frozen door lock...nice huh....and from our walk. The clouds were hanging really low down around the top of the lake..so you could see mountains above the clouds. Really magical and of course the sun lent her beautiful colour to some of these photos...very nice!!

So pretty. I just one want big snowstorm here so that dogs can frolic in deep snow, but all we seem to get is an inch or so, and then poof it's gone again.

The photos are beautiful. Recently it was -20 F here in northern Illinois. That translates to -29C. That did not include the wind chill which took it down even lower.
