New Year

2009....I LOVE New Years...new chances...new hopes! I look forward to the new year more then Christmas and now it's here! Our company who has been with us the last days left this evening after a lovely turkey dinner with salad and mashed potatoes and yummy DIRT DESSERT for dessert! Morten insists I make this for him every time he comes for a visit. (which isn't that often so my vanilla pudding I brought back from the states has lasted!!!) We had a great time with the boys and Morten's girls but just as with any good company it's also good when they leave and we get our home back to ourselves. Is that horrible to say? I hope not, because we really love having them here, but it's so nice when we are alone again! That is how it is everytime we have visitors, lovely to have them here and just as great to see them leave!!! hahaha! We have eaten and eaten....and walked some....and eaten some more....oh did I mention we have eaten???? Yeah...well, now it's the new year and time to get serious. I really feel this is my year...but I'm not going to be fanatical about this...they will be slight changes which I hope will give results in the long run. I'll keep you updated!!
Posting a couple photos from our walk today and the lionesses (and the little old lady) sitting very nicely in hopes of some turkey leftovers!!! There is also a photo of the new pillow cases I sewed with my new machine! Rooy can sew, he actually makes dresses and does a little designing, so he knows how to sew and gave me a brief lesson while he was here! Talk about proud!!! I can't believe I did these, I just wish we had video taped the sewing lesson like Stig suggested so I will remember how to do everything when I'm alone!!!!!

Hope the new year is treating you well so far!!!

ok, you learned to sew in less than a week..and already made pillow cases?!?! WOW! I am totally impressed. Either Rooy is a genius teacher or you are like a sewing prodigy!! VERY AMAZING!

Almost as amazing as those photos of your walk. Mads and I just sat here, looking and "oohing and awwing"... we love our walks out in the forest, but ours have no snow...just lots of cold air!

Lovely cushion covers! I'm impressed - I can't sew at all... but hey, that's why they invented staples, duct tape and safety pins! ,-)
