All good lionesses adore this time of year in Norway- WINTER!!! This morning the snow is coming down sideways- a scary reminder of our days on the coast when any precipitation came down sideways!!! However, this is not a problem for the lioness...she can romp and play in snow that comes straight down, snow that comes down sideways, even snow that just lies there!!!!! The results when she comes in looks something like this (See photo 2). Check the look of guilt on her face...anyone who has had that much fun alone usually has that look on their face, like they are sorry you missed out but hey...they had a blast!!!
Start a fire...we highly recommend newspaper to be your base for your fire but if you don't have enough newspaper in the house you can use the cursed commercial papers you get in the mail although they are a little trickier to start...it is possible!!!! Next, add some thin pieces of birch tree bark...this stuff is the BEST to get a roaring fire going! Next- light up!!! Finally, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around.....no wait a second sorry folks...once a nursery school assistent always a nursery school assistent....You close the doors just slightly to build momentum in your fire and then once it's roaring like your lioness, you place the actual lioness next to the fire on a bunch of towels and let her begin defrosting...this process takes awhile and you might have to switch out towels....but when it's all said and done, the lioness runs as far away from the heat source as she can and you can sit back and enjoy the comfort and coziness of a warm fire in the fireplace with a good cup of coffee!!!
A lovely Saturday to you all!!!!
