Today was my last work day of the week and I'm so happy about that. It's been quite the challenge with 15 small children under 2 years of age this week...but everyone is really positive at work so it will work out ultimately and the kids are still as charming as ever, there is just so many of them!!! I am trying to look at this as a very positive thing toward helping me lose weight, there isn't a moment to sit down and just relax so my days are flying by and I guess that is all good.
The Captain is back....arrived yesterday after spending three days in Oslo waiting on a visa from the Brazillian embassy. The captain on his boat and Stig never got their visas but two other guys who were travelling with them got theirs and left Tuesday. There has been a glitch somewhere, either in Brazil or Norway and their visas were not approved yet...so they were sent home to wait. The captain on Stig's boat lives in Tromsø in the north of Norway so he had a bit of a flight. They were told nothing would happen til after the weekend and Stig said that possibly the boat would be out on a job and wouldn't be back in for a week, so they might not go until it gets back unless they arrange for them to be flown out with helicopter...Oh it's all so exciting this life as a sailor (and a sailor's wife!!)!! I'm not complaining, a few more days with my Captain is great for me and the kiddos...plus, tonight Stig can drive at midnight and get the girls from their winter ball dance and not me!!! And this weekend when we have a dog show near Oslo he can drive us and I don't have too...YIPPEEE!!! Ok Ok, I'm happy to have him home for other reasons then his driving abilities...but still, those are big things...PLUS...having Stig home means the house stays warm through the day because he fires up in the fireplace all day long...my pile of laundry got worked on today, which had he been gone it wouldn't have been worked on until this weekend....ahhhh, it's the small things you don't think about until he's gone that I am appreciating completely right now!!!
Adding also a photo of mamma Heidi and our grey cat Smokey chillin by the fire....this old lady knows where the best place is in the house, we put a blanket on the floor for her, she has so many aches and pains in her body she needs something soft to lay on and the cat seems to be enjoying her luxuries to the fullest!!! The other photo is my two princesses in their ball gowns..looking radient and WAY too grown up for the evening....uff....feels like just yesterday they were the same age as the little guys I work with and now.....all grown up...
We'll talk again soon my friends...
